All the general information, rehearsals, costumes, hair, makeup, etiquette etc)
As competitions draw closer, we kindly ask for your support in encouraging your child to dedicate extra time to perfecting their routines. As the saying goes, "TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK", and we couldn't be prouder of the team we have here at Performa.
- Please ensure EVERYTHING is labeled with your child's name and/or initials. We cannot identify items that are not labeled. Stockings and shoes are particularly important - there are always unnamed stockings and shoes left behind.
- Studio uniforms are a key part of team competition and team spirit. While students are at competitions and competing, they are required to wear their studio uniforms.
- Please do not send food with your child backstage at any competiton. Please ensure they eat before arrival and during breaks. Only water is permitted in the dressing spaces. NO food or sugary drinks.
Performa team members are reminded that at any competition, we WILL:
- Be respectful and courteous to every dancer on the team.
- Support one another and contribute to the team.
- Foster a positive attitude, motivate each other, and remain committed to the team.
- Seek approval from others before posting online.
- Always display good sportsmanship to everyone around you.
- Cheer for and celebrate the achievements of all competitors.
We look forward to another EXCITING & REWARDING competition season!
Once costumes are ordered and start arriving Ms Demi will get busy organising and adding the final touches. Costumes will be handed out as soon as each group is finalised. Please take them home, try them on, and message us if there are any major concerns. Remember, payment for costumes must be settled before they can be taken home. Families on a payment plan this does not apply to you.
UNDER GARMENTS
Students who prefer to wear underwear underneath their tights, please ensure that it is suitable "no-show" underwear (seam free, high-cut, g-string etc.) that wont be visible underneath costumes and tights.
- No body stockings are the be worn underneath costumes for competitions.
- Pre-senior & Senior students who feel they need extra support may wear a stick-on bra, nipple covers, appropriate strapless bra (if the back of your costume can conceal it), or tape on the chest area for support. We request these options to avoid visible straps showing under costumes, as they can look untidy.
DIAMANTE EARRINGS
Any student who has their ears pierced must have a pair of diamanté earrings to ear on stage. These earrings don't have to be costly, affordable options are available at stores like Lovisa. A medium sized pair that give off a little sparkle. For students without pierced ears, no need to worry!
HAIR & MAKEUP
Anything that differs to our normal hair and makeup will be detailed below. Please refer to the Hair & Makeup section of our Performa Info Centre for detailed instructions on our normal hair & makeup.

- A clear outline with visuals for each group

If your child has a break during rehearsal days, please ensure they have lots of food to help sustain their energy. These days are extremely important, but can feel long, so it's essential that our students fuel their bodies with appropriate food and rest in their breaks. Kindly avoid snacks containing nuts due to allergies within the studio. Thank you.
The timetables will be updated as soon as they are finalised.

For most group sections, tickets are usually still avaliable for purchase of the day (except 8 Novelty & 18 Cabaret, which tend to sell out quickly). However, it is recommended to pre-purchase all your tickets to avoid last-minute stress and long queues.
Tickets can be purchased in person from the MECC box office, or from their website (link below) when the time comes.

MEETING
The Mackay Eisteddfod is held at the MECC. 258 Alfred Street, Mackay
Please arrive at the below times for your child's group(s). This is generally 1 hour before session commencement time so we have plenty of time to warm up, get ready, and settle in. For group days, each studio is given a dressing space inside the convention centre. Entry is through the foyer only (please do not use the backstage door).
Students 10years & under:
A Performa staff member will meet you in the foyer at the listed arrival times. The foyer can be very busy, so if you sport other Performa families, stick together and we'll find you. We know many of our littles ones are confident, if you're comfortable, you're welcome to walk them to the internal door and let them head into the dressing space from there (you'll be able to see the area from the door).
